I sat down with a group of young Kenyan entrepreneurs today to discuss innovative solutions to the country’s development challenges. One key issue discussed was improving job opportunities for the rising number of youth in Kenya. Between 2009 and 2013, 3 million young people were added to the country’s workforce.
Young people can play a critical role in driving the development agenda in their countries and globally. The enthusiasm, energy, and passion of these talented entrepreneurs were truly inspiring. I feel very optimistic about the future of Kenya, and the world.
