A bright fireball – sometimes called a ‘shooting star’ – occurred over the Netherlands and Belgium on 21 September 2017 at 21:00 CEST. The object was likely just a few centimetres in size and most likely entirely burned up; any remaining bits would have fallen into the North Sea (credit: F. Colas/Paris Observatory/FRIPON team).
