There are nearly 8 million people in the EU employed as ICT specialists. This represents 3,5% of total employment. The number and the share continuously grow but there is still a gap between what market needs and what education can offer. When it comes to countries, Finland and Sweden have the highest share of ICT experts. In absolute numbers, UK & Germany are in the lead.
