India’s first underwater diner has been carved 20 feet below ground level in Ahmedabad opened on February 1.
Named after the sea god Poseidon, ‘The Real Poseidon’, restaurant can seat 32 people. It is covered with an aquarium overhead containing around 160,000 litres of water and over 4,000 species of fishes.
Those interested in dining at this restaurant will have to take the stairs down to the tunnel-shaped restaurant, which serves only vegetarian dishes. Initially the designs were rejected but the perseverance of the makers made the restaurant become a reality.
The Real Poseidon is located in the South Bhopal area in Ahmedabad.
