Remember the latest Income Tax raids on actors Vijay, Nayantara, Samantha etc. Though there are heard to be political forced behind the attack on Vijay and Nayanatara, why Samantha is targeted? As per sources, the charity work of Samantha has attracted the IT Department.
Remember director Teja’s recent comments on adoption and charity? “Most celebrities start NGOs and do Charity only to evade tax.”
It is not known whether his words are true or not but many celebrities of Telugu film industry have NGOs and they generally take half of their hefty remuneration as a check issued with the name of their NGOs.
Comes to Samantha, she is running ‘Pratyusha Foundation’. She has been donating lakhs of her remuneration to help ailing children. Although Samantha is do this charity as a true hearted girl, some might have thought that she started this NGO only to evade tax.
Probably that is the reason why IT department has targeted her.
