BCCI ombudsman Justice D.K. Jain on 20th of April fined Indian International Cricketers Hardik Pandya and K.L. Rahul for their sexist comments on a popular Television chat show.
In the order published on the official BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) website, Justice Jain wrote that no further action will be taken against Pandya and Rahul, who have already served a provisional suspension and tendered an unconditional apology for their loose comments on women.
In January 2019, Pandya made controversial comments about his promiscuous sexual lifestyle, avowedly condoned by his parents, on the show Koffee with Karan, which was immediately met with public backlash.
Pandya appeared on the show along with his teammate K. L. Rahul.
The BCCI also found the comments as very crass, sexist and cringeworthy.
