On March 29, Sonakshi Sinha came is elated with the decision of her father over leaving BJP and joining Congress. she also said that he would have done it much before and exclaimed that the respect that he deserved he was not getting there.
There were speculations doing rounds over Sinha joining Congress after leaving BJP. Lok Sabha MP Shatrughan Sinha put all the predictions to an end by confirming his joining in Congress as a member. Sinha said that he will join Congress now and will give good news by Navratri.
Senior Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil said on April 6; the party will welcome Sinha. Sinha was not in favor of Modi Government anymore when he realized that he was sidelined as a party member and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad would contest for BJP from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.

BJP is contesting Lok Sabha election in collaboration with the Janta Dal-United and the Lok Janshakti Party. On the other hand, Congress has tied up the Rashtriya Janta Dal in the state.
