Rajinikanth declared that he would not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
“Our major target is Assembly elections,” Rajinikanth said.
He also said that he would not extend support to any political party.
He further said that no party is allowed to use his photo in Political Campaigns.
South Superstar Rajinikanth who is now also known as a politician Tamil Nadu has released a statement on Sunday (17th of Feb) declaring that he would not contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rajinikanth in a statement said, “I am not going to contest in upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Our major target is Assembly Elections.”
He also clarified to the people of Tamil Nadu that he would not extend any kind of support to any political party.
“My support is not for any political party and no party is allowed to use my photo or my outfit’s logo in their political campaigns,” Rajinikanth said.
Rajinikanth announced his entry into politics on 31 December 2017 and confirmed his intention to contest in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections in all 234 constituencies.
He stated that his party would resign if it was unable to fulfill its electoral promises within three years of coming into power.
