Reports suggest JeM spokesmen Muhammad Hassan sent a text to Kashmir news agency GNS that the attack was executed by terrorist Aadil Ahmed.

Other politicians includes PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, NS leader Omar Abdullah, Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister Arun Jaitley, BJP President Amit Shah, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress Supremeo Mamata Banerjee expressed their condolences and sadness over the martyred jawans.
The Home Minister also cancelled all his meetings to visit Srinagar.
