American multinational technology company Apple’s CEO Tim Cook received a bonus worth $12 million in 2018, the biggest-ever till data.
The Bloomberg reports, the Apple in a regulatory filing said that Cook received a $12 million bonus for the year ended September 29.
Comparing the previous year’ bonus, the hike in 2018 was 22%, as Cook received bonus worth $9.3 million in 2017.
Mr. Cook in year 2016, 2015, and 2014 received $ 5.4 million, $8.0 million, and $6.7 million worth bonus respectively.
22% pay hike in 2018, bringing his total compensation to $136 million (₹960 crore), company filings revealed.
In addition to the bonus, Cook also got a $3 million salary and shares worth $121 million from his 10-year stock award, bringing his total earnings to $136 million, along with perks worth approximately $682,000.
Cook joined Apple in March 1998 as a senior vice President for global operations, and then served as the Executive Vice President for global sales and operations.
Cook was made the Chief Executive on August 24, 2011, prior to Jobs’ death in October of that year.
