People who own residential property below 1,000 square feet may also benefit the EBC reservation quota.
Citizens of India who have residential plot below 100 square yards in an informed municipality will also benefit the EBC quota.
EBCs in India is a category of people having an annual income less than Rs8 lakhs and who do not belong to any reserved category such as SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes) and OBC (Other Backward Class).
Economically Backward Class refer to only who was economically weaker in India. The definition of ‘Economically Weaker Sections’ will be defined by the State from time to time.
