Speculations are going around after BJP leader O Rajagopala hinted that Mohanlal may join a political party.
Initially, O Rajagopala, BJP leader intimated that Mohanlal would be taken into consideration for Thiruvananthapuram seat.
Last year on Janmashtami, the Malayalam actor met PM Narendra Modi after which he praised him in his blog. This brewed up the rumour more about the actor joining politics.
However, the Padma Bhushan awardee and President at Malayalam Movie Artistes denied all the supposition and clarified to Times of India, “Politics is not my cup of tea. I want to remain an actor always. I enjoy the freedom I have in this profession. In politics, a lot of people depend on you, and it’s not easy. Also, it’s not a subject that I know a lot about. I do not incline whatsoever”.
On the work front, Mohanlal is working on Marakkar- Arabikadalinte Simhamdirected by Priyadarshan and will be soon seen playing the role of Prime Minister Chandrakanth Varma in the Tamil film Kaappaan.
