National Investigation Agency (NIA) in its charge sheet filed with Andhra Pradesh High Court on 23rd of January regarding YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy knife attack case said that Srinivasa Rao who stabbed YS Jagan intended to kill him.
The NIA also said that Srinivasa Rao admitted to his crimes during several interrogation sessions took place between January 12 and 18.
Opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly had earlier filed an additional Affidavit before the High Court in Hyderabad, stating that the attack on him at airport in Visakhapatnam on 25th of October would fall under the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982.
In the affidavit, Reddy has asked the centre through the court to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the knife attack incident.
He also mentioned that the concerned authorities of Andhra Pradesh government have failed in following their duties and the requirements of the law.
Jagan Mohan Reddy while boarding a flight to Hyderabad to attend Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court was attacked with a Knife Blade in the VIP Lounge of the Airport on 25 Oct 2018. Reddy sustained injury on Shoulder.

With this yatra, Mr. Jagan surpassed his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s record (1,500 km) which helped him to form the government in 2004 elections.
