Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Kabali’. A rumor has surfaced recently on social media that he is in talks to act in the biopic of Tipu Sultan, former Mysore King. Although nothing has been finalized about the project, this rumor itself has landed Rajini in trouble now.
As per latest reports, Hindu Munani, a Tamil outfit leader Rama Gopalan has warned the Superstar to not portray Tipu Sultan in the biopic. Gopalan said in his statement that the film might portray Tipu Sultan as the freedom fighter but he was anti-Tamil. He further said that no Tamil actor including Rajnikanth should portray anti-Tamil characters on screen.
As per sources, although Rajini hasn’t given his nod for the project, he was interested. With this recent development, will he now back out of the film or will he go on neglecting the sentiments of Tamil people?
