A welfare organization has yesterday organized a programme in Guntur for the AIDS affected children to increase awareness among people. Social Welfare Minister of Andhra Pradesh Ravela Kishore Babu attended this programme as chief guest and he was moved by the words of a kid.
‘Sir, people say that I got AIDS and my parents died of it. I am staying with my aunt now. Please help me and the kids like me. We want to go to school and love like other normal kids,’ said the kid with teary eyes. Minister Ravela was so moved that he got off the dais, came down and hugged the boy with tears rolling from his eyes.
Speaking at the occasion, he called for increasing awareness among people about AIDS as the only solution for controlling this disease. He assured that the government will take necessary steps to control this disease and will help the innocent kids financially.
