According to The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), 8 objectives and robust indicators have been exercised to rank the world’s top universities:

1. Quality of Education, assessed by the quantity of a university’s graduates who have obtained top international prizes, awards, and medals in accordance with the university’s size (25%)
2. Alumni Employment, assessed by the quantity of a university’s graduates who have placed Chief executive officer (CEO) roles at the world’s leading companies when compared with the university’s size (25%)
3. Quality of Faculty, measured by the number of academics who have earned top international honours, prizes, and medals (25%)
4. Publications, assessed based on the amount of research papers listed in reputable publications (5%)
5. Influence, calculated based on the quantity of research papers appearing in highly-influential journals (5%)
6. Citations, assessed based on the amount of highly-cited research papers (5%)
7. Broad Impact, analyzed based on the university’s h-index (5%)
8. Patents, assessed as a result of quantity of international patent filings (5%)
